Perspex (acrylic) sheets are used in a wide range of home improvement projects as they are lightweight, durable, easy to work with and affordable. We supply plastics for DIY projects around the house and garden, and offer a selection of plastic fabrication services to help our customers achieve high quality finishes.
Perspex sheets are available in many different colours and finishes. Being water-resistant, Perspex is an ideal product for use in wet environments, it is also perfect for bathroom DIY projects such as splashbacks and wall panels.
Perspex is also a much-favoured material in DIY furniture projects, including upcycling projects around the home. It can be used to fashion attractive table tops for dining tables, coffee tables and photo tables. It also finds many uses in DIY lighting projects, custom shelving projects and for making terrariums and planters. We also supply Perspex in disc, rod and tube form as these are popular with crafters and hobbyists.
The multipurpose properties of Polycarbonate mean that it is a highly versatile material that can be used in many different ways in DIY projects, particularly those which involve windows, where good thermal insulation is often a requirement. It is commonly used for roofing and glazing (both primary and secondary), and especially for greenhouses, conservatories, orangeries, carports and lean-to extensions.
